Why we don't show fake "operational" pills.
Public status pages are useful only when they reflect real telemetry. Showing static green dots on a page that isn't connected to anything would be theatre, and the kind of thing we promise customers we won't do. We'd rather ship the real status page than fake the one customers expect to see.
