Beyond our one-time build fee, a live website needs two running costs: a domain name and hosting. Here's exactly what each costs, and how hosting with us works out cheaper than doing it yourself.

Domain and hosting are billed separately from your build, we never bury them inside the quote. App-store fees, payment-gateway charges and any cloud usage stay in your name and are paid to those providers directly. GST isn't currently charged (Acilox LLP is below the A$75,000 non-resident threshold).

What's a one-time cost vs a running cost?+
The build fee you see on the main page is one-time, you pay it once and the site/app/software is yours. Running costs are the small ongoing bills to keep it live: mainly a domain (yearly) and hosting (monthly), plus store or cloud fees where they apply.
Do I have to host with you?+
No. Hosting with us (from A$5/mo) is the easy option, one team, everything handled. But you're free to host it yourself (Hostinger's “Single” plan is ~A$9/mo effective). Either way you own everything and we hand over all accounts.
Is a care plan compulsory?+
Not at all. After the free 14-day stabilisation window you can walk away with everything in your name. A care plan is for founders who'd rather we keep handling changes, fixes and updates so they never touch code.
How do the free months work?+
On a 6-month care plan the first 3 months are free; on a 12-month plan the first 6 months are free. You only start paying the care fee after that, and you can cancel anytime.
What counts as a “change” under a care plan?+
Content edits, new sections or pages, fixes, and plugin/security updates all count. Standard turns them around in up to 7 days; Premium in under 3. Bigger new features (a whole new app, say) are quoted separately as an add-on.
Who pays Google, Apple and the cloud providers?+
You do, directly, in your own accounts, so nothing is locked to us. We set each account up with you and can manage them on your behalf if you'd like. We never mark these fees up.
Is GST charged?+
Not currently, Acilox LLP is below the A$75,000 non-resident GST registration threshold, so prices are quoted without GST. We'll provide a tax invoice if our status changes.
